Whirlwind of Words is a word game that was released as shareware for Windows in September of 2010 by developer Jason DeStefano. Jason conceived the game’s concept in July of 2010, and then proceeded to code it over the course of two months. His goal was to provide word game enthusiasts with a new and unique game that is challenging, fun to play, and that exercises and sharpens the players’ minds by requiring them to build words very quickly.
After its initial release, Whirlwind of Words was described by players as “a lot of fun,” “challenging,” and “a very original idea.”
